7. WARRANTY (RETURN TO BASE)
7.1 Standard Warranty
All Goods supplied by the Seller are covered by a 12-month "Return to Base" warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, commencing from the date of delivery.
7.2 Return to Base Process
(a) To initiate a warranty claim, the Buyer must first contact the Seller to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN).
(b) The Buyer is responsible for returning the suspected faulty unit to the Seller's premises (Wakefield, UK) at their own cost.
(c) The Seller will bench test the unit to determine the cause of failure.
(d) If the unit is found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault, the Seller will repair or replace the unit and return the unit within 3 working and cover the return to customer shipping costs.
(e) If no fault is found, or if the fault is due to misuse (see Clause 7.4), the Buyer will be liable for a bench testing fee and return shipping costs.
7.3 Component Level Repair
The Seller reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair the unit by replacing only the specific component that has failed (e.g., replacing a solenoid, motor, or gearbox) rather than replacing the entire unit. Refurbished or remanufactured parts may be used where appropriate.
7.4 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty is immediately void if the bench test reveals that the Goods have been:
(a) Installed incorrectly, including improper wiring or unsuitable power systems.
(b) Submerged in water or mud (unless the unit is explicitly rated as fully submersible).
(c) Overloaded, shock-loaded, or used beyond the stated line pull rating (e.g., burnt motors or melted solenoids caused by prolonged stalling).
(d) Modified, dismantled, or repaired by unauthorised persons.
(e) Used without adequate maintenance (e.g., lack of lubrication).
7.5 Limitation
The warranty covers the hardware only. The Seller is not liable for any labour costs involved in removing or reinstalling the unit, nor for any loss of use or downtime while the unit is being bench tested.
8. Returns & Cancellations
8.1 Consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the Goods, provided items are unused and in original packaging.
8.2 Custom-built or special-order items are non-returnable unless faulty.
